García Dols managed to add six points to his tally, despite the fact that the Repsol rider had to serve a ‘long lap’ penalty for exceeding the track limits. The sanction slowed his progress in a race in which he was always amongst the front group.
His teammate, Ryusei Yamanaka, made a great fightback, starting from 27th on the grid and crossing the finish line 15th. The Repsol Moto3 rider picked up a point with the result.
García Dols remains 16th in the overall standings with 19 points. Ryusei Yamanaka is 21st, with 8.

Czech GP 2020 – Moto3 Race – Riders statements
Sergio García Dols
“It was a very fast race, in which I was able to keep up the pace and be in the front group at all times. A bit of contact at the end of the race slowed me down slightly, and I made some mistakes trying to get back into the group. I had to serve a long lap penalty, but I finished tenth and that’s a good result. Now I have to continue fighting to be at the front.”
Ryusei Yamanaka
“I’m happy because I think I started from the worst position on the grid of my entire career, and the result ended up being very positive. It was difficult to make progress, but lap by lap I improved -thanks to the fact that we solved the problems we had on Friday and yesterday. I’m happy with the Top 15 finish, and with how we managed the race. It’s time to rest up and think about the next round.”.
