Aragon GP 2020 – Moto3 Race – Riders statements

Sergio García Dols

“It was a crazy race. We pushed hard at the start and I was still fighting with some riders in sixth and seventh position which didn’t allow me to move up the order. Then I was able to climb positions and stay between third and fourth which was crucial. At the end I was able to attack at the last moment. Getting onto the podium is incredible, since it has been a very hard year for me, besides the situation we are experiencing around the world. This result has come through hard work. It’s a strange feeling on the podium, because you don’t see the crowd and you don’t hear anything, but I’m still very happy.”

Ryusei Yamanaka

“I started the race from thirtieth position, but got off the line very well. I was able to gain some positions on the opening laps. Nevertheless, my race pace at the beginning was not very good and that made it difficult for me to stay in the group. At the end of the race my pace improved, and on the final laps I was able to catch the group in front of me. It wasn’t enough to progress further and gain some more places though. Hopefully next week will be better for us.”
