Malaysian GP Qualifying Results

The duel for the MotoGP title continues this weekend in Malaysia, and qualifying saw ‘Pecco’ Bagnaia and Jorge Martín in top form. The start of the session was hectic, with Jorge Martín breaking the circuit record. However, on his last attempt, Bagnaia managed to improve the marker even further to take pole position for both races at Sepang, in which World Championship leader Jorge Martín will start second.

Behind them was Álex Márquez, who will complete the front row. On the second row will be Franco Morbidelli, Marc Márquez and Enea Bastianini, who had a crash on his second hot lap attempt. Jack Miller on Row 3 is joined by Fabio Quartararo and Álex Rins. The fourth row will be occupied by Brad Binder, Johann Zarco and Maverick Viñales.

Seventh row for Luca Marini and Joan Mir

The Repsol Honda Team riders had another difficult Saturday at the Sepang International Circuit. In today’s free practice, Joan Mir finished in nineteenth position, followed by Luca Marini, twentieth.

Once in Q1, both managed to improve their times and lap in 1 minute and 58 seconds, but it was not enough to climb up the timesheets: on this occasion Marini was nineteenth, followed by Joan Mir, twentieth.

The pair will take part in the sprint race for the Malaysian Grand Prix at 2pm local time..
