The MotoGP riders returned to action this morning for the start of the second day of the Portuguese Grand Prix. After a brief free practice session, they faced the third qualifying session of the season.
Enea Bastianini (Ducati), who was the fastest on Friday, managed to set the best time (1:37.706) for pole. The Italian rider will be joined by Maverick Viñales (Aprilia) and Jorge Martín (Ducati) on the first row of the grid.
The Top 10 was rounded off by Pecco Bagnaia (Ducati), Jack Miller (KTM), Marco Bezzecchi (Ducati), Pedro Acosta (GasGas), Marc Márquez (Ducati), Fabio Quartararo ( Yamaha) and Brad Binder (KTM).
The Sprint race will take place on Saturday at 16:00 (CET), after the qualifying sessions for the lower cylinder classes
Difficult morning for Repsol Honda Team
After a difficult Friday, both Repsol Honda Team riders took to the track with the intention of getting the most out of their Hondas. However, they missed out on the pace to fight for the top positions.
Joan Mir will start both races this weekend from 20th place, whilst teammate Luca Marini will take off from 22nd.
