The reigning World Champion, Marc Márquez, has racked up seven podiums in Catalonia, including two wins: one in 125cc in 2010 and the other in MotoGP in 2014.
Dani Pedrosa has clinched seven consecutive rostrums at the Barcelona-Catalunya circuit in his last seven visits (he missed the 2011 race due to an injury), and has stepped atop the podium at 10 of his 12 MotoGP performances. He boasts a total of 14 podiums in the three categories, three of them victories: in 2003 (125cc), in 2005 (250cc), and in 2008 (MotoGP).
Three weeks ago, the Repsol Honda Team carried out what proved to be a positive test on the track, which has regained its traditional layout at Turn 13 — also analysed by Márquez and Pedrosa in a spectacular video about the Barcelona-Catalunya Circuit.
