Aron Canet will make his debut in #Moto3 after a fantastic season in #FIMCEVRepsol
Great results right from the start
Aron is a rider who started to impress at a very young age. Born in the town of Corbera, Valencia, at only 13 he was proclaimed Spanish 80cc Champion. A year later, he again demonstrated his great talent by winning the Spanish PreMoto3 Championship: he won five out of the six races and broke the circuit record at Jerez and Albacete.
He is one of the most talented young riders in motorcycling today. He is now 16 and this season he managed to end up on the podium in the eight FIM CEV REPSOL races that he took part in. And in four of them he was the winner, riding in spectacular fashion.
After a great start, in which he led the competition soundly, a foot injury caused him to miss three races. The rider from Valencia was able to return to FIM CEV REPSOL for the final race and he finished the Championship in second place in Cheste, finishing third in the overall ranking.
A new era: Moto3
Now he is starting a new world-class era in Moto3 with the Monlau Repsol Technical School. He has a season ahead full of excitement and lessons to learn for the future. He will also be sharing the box with Jorge Navarro after his first great year in the category.
Aron Canet expressed his gratitude to the Monlau Repsol Technical School, “I am very happy to have this opportunity. I want to thank my team for the confidence they have in me to learn and continue to grow as a World Motorcycling Championship rider”.
Another year of learning is opening up for this highly talented rider, who will undoubtedly bring excitement to motorcycle lovers.
