Harsh track conditions for Repsol Honda Team at Silverstone
With the times set by the two Repsol Honda Team riders on Friday, both Marc Márquez and Joan Mir had to enter a wet Q1.
Márquez rode calmly throughout the day, gradually adapting to the track conditions. Despite a late push, he missed out on the cut for Q2 and the fight for pole position with a time of 2:17.343. He will start from 14th position, on the fifth row on the grid, in both races this weekend.
Mir remained cautious during the qualifying session, due to the difficult track conditions caused by heavy rain. The Repsol Honda Team rider avoided taking too many risks in the qualifying session and will take off from 19th in the Sprint Race and the British GP itself.
