Valencian GP 2018 – Moto3 Race – Alonso López and Aron Canet statements

Alonso López

Felt confident.  I have to be happy with how the weekend went, but it’s a shame we didn’t finish, because we could have had a very good race. The track was in a very delicate condition. This morning in the warmup I felt very comfortable and very confident, but I crashed and dislocated my shoulder. Luckily it was put back in place quickly and I was fine for the race. .

Another crash.  At the start I was able to gain six places, but when I released the front brake at Turn 6 I crashed again. I was able to continue, but on the second lap I fell once more at Turn 9.

Arón Canet

A real shame. I started calmly, knowing that it would be a race in which a lot of riders would not finish. A lot of riders crashed, and I was taken out at Turn 4. It’s a shame, because I felt I would be strong in the race, as in the warmup I had the same pace as the riders who fought for the victory. It’s a real shame to say goodbye to the team in this way.
