The reigning World Champion, Pecco Bagnaia (Ducati) was the fastest rider in qualifying for the German GP with a time of 1:21.409. Luca Marini (Ducati) and Jack Miller (KTM) will join him on the front row of the Sachsenring grid.
Johann Zarco (Ducati), Marco Bezzccehi (Ducati), Jorge Martín (Ducati), Marc Márquez (Repsol Honda), Álex Márquez (Ducati), Brad Binder (KTM) and Aleix Espargaró (Aprilia) completed the Top 10.
The German GP sprint race will take place this Saturday at 3pm (CEST).
Difficult morning for Repsol Honda Team
Marc Márquez started the day with the best time in the final practice sessions. On a morning affected by adverse weather conditions, the Repsol Honda Team rider managed to advance to Q2 with a time of 1:25.681.
However, after suffering two crashes -from which he escaped unharmed- during Q2, the Spaniard would finish in seventh position with a 1:22.013. He will start from the third row of the grid in the sprint race and the Grand Prix itself.
