Hard fought qualifying for the Repsol Honda Team
After having gone straight into Q2, Marc Márquez started the day working hard to finish off his preparations for the two races of the weekend. The Repsol Honda Team rider closed the last practice session of the weekend in 19th position.
During Q2 he maintained a good pace, running several fast laps. However, a small crash with three minutes left prevented him from getting the most out of the session and he will start the races from eighth position.
Joan Mir had to go through Q1 after failing to make the cut on Friday. He did not manage to complete a good last lap to move into the fight for pole and will start from 19th position.
