Marc Márquez and Joan Mir play jellybean surprise challenge

Marc Márquez and Joan Mir are experienced in managing pressure on the track, but off it they showed their mettle this week in a quiz about renewable fuels -an effective solution to reducing emissions and which will be a reality in MotoGP from 2024.

The Repsol Honda Team riders use their knowledge to get one over on each other with high stakes: Whoever gets an answer wrong has to eat a jellybean that could either be sweet… or sour. Márquez has already had the opportunity to test renewable fuels, when he rode at the legendary Jarama circuit a few months ago. In Spain, all the fuels at service stations already include more than 10% biofuel, and Repsol have nearly 30 garages spread between Spain and Portugal where you can use fuel from 100% renewable sources.
