Hello everyone!

I’m finally back on the boxrepsol.com blog. I’ve been wanting to write again and I am going to tell you about the most enjoyable experiences and moments I’ve had over the years in the videos we’ve recorded together.

There have been many videos, hidden cameras and other situations where I have met both famous people and the general public. I’ve also been filmed in many places: in the snow, in a skyscraper, on a tourist bus or even high-altitude flights with Juan Velarde, and I can assure you that I have a fond memories of all of them.

I have shared filming, recordings, and galas with many public figures and I have to say that, at first, it seemed very strange to be by their side. Who wouldn’t be humbled sharing the stage or recording a video with people like Leo Messi, Rafa Nadal, Pau Gasol or Joaquín? These are moments and feelings you never forget.

While filming, if you are comfortable with the people around you, you can have a great time and this was the case, for example, when filming with the Repsol Honda Team riders: Toni Bou, Dani Pedrosa, Fujinami…I remember Dani and I had to drive a tractor, we were each other’s co-pilots and we couldn’t stop laughing. It was really fun. In addition, that same day, we also filmed with Toni and we went on trial bike trip. The truth is that when we all get together we try and see who can do the craziest thing.

In all this time I have also had some very pleasant surprises with the general public. I fondly remember the hidden camera in the town of Villamartín, where I drove to visit this town in the province of Cádiz. We met a lady, Paca, who I connected with from the word go. We chatted, we laughed, we walked around the town… She practically gave us enough content for the whole video. At the Spanish GP in Jerez, I had the opportunity to meet her again and it was even better than the first time. I really liked seeing the reaction of someone who could be have been my grandmother.

It’s true that these type of hidden camera recordings are more fun, people are more spontaneous, you are not following any script and you get many more surprises. I remember the last one we did on Repsol’s 50th anniversary of sponsoring motorsport at the Corte Inglés in Madrid. I was in a shop window pretending to be a mannequin and suddenly I started to move. Seeing people’s reactions was a lot of fun.

I like to watch these types of videos, to see how people react in this type of situation where I laugh a lot. On the other hand, I watch more promotional or scripted videos far less. I admit that I find it uncomfortable watching myself act. I guess this happens to all of us.

I’m not that good at acting. I leave the acting to Santi Hernández or Carlos Liñán, when they’ve had to be in front of the cameras, they’ve actually been very convincing. I’m curious to see what new videos our Box Repsol friends have in store, there will be laughs as always, I am sure.

Until next time!
