Top athletes wish Márquez a Happy Birthday

Some of the best athletes in the world gave a surprise to Marc Márquez with a video for his 28th birthday. Almost thirty top sportsmen and sportswomen took the opportunity to encourage him in his recovery and wish him the best on his special day.

Rafael Nadal, Pau Gasol, Mireia Belmonte, Carolina Marín, Thiago Alcántara, David Villa, Ansu Fati, Alberto Contador, Toni Bou, Álex Crivillé, Mick Doohan and new Repsol Honda teammate, Pol Espargaró, sent in their birthday messages to the Spanish star, combining them with words of support as he prepares a return to racing following injury. Many of those who participated have suffered injury setbacks themselves throughout their respective professional careers.

These much admired athletes are all fans of the Repsol Honda rider, knowing the effort and sacrifice that have gone into his eight World Championships in Grand Prix racing. Between them, they have won 434 titles and 17 Olympic medals.
