The TrialGP World Championship contested two races this weekend at the Andorran GP. Toni Bou left the event as series leader, as he took his fourth win from six races this season on Sunday in Sant Julià de Lòria, after a second place on Saturday. His teammate Takahisa Fujinami, who suffered a crash yesterday, finished seventh and fourth.
On a first day affected by rain, Toni Bou fought for victory with Adam Raga. Although he led the way until the middle of the day, he finished second at the end of the three laps of the Andorran circuit. Today Bou retaliated, claiming the win by a 20-point margin. The Spaniard now leads the standings by 10 points, with two races remaining at the final round in Italy.
Takahisa Fujinami suffered a crash on Saturday in which he injured his shoulder, and was only able to finish seventh. However, the Japanese rider overcame the discomfort on Sunday and only just missed out on the podium by 2 points. He occupies eighth position in the overall standings with 44 points.
The decisive final round of the TrialGP World Championship will be held on October 9th and 10th in Italy.
