Toni Bou becomes 32-time world champion

Toni Bou raised his total World Championship number to 32 with his latest Outdoor Trial crown, won in Italy with one race remaining of the season. For 16 consecutive years, he has been the dominant force in both the outdoor and indoor series, with an unblemished record of two titles per season.

His achievements reach a level comparable with other giants of the world of sport: Michael Phelps and his 28 Olympic medals, Simone Biles and her 25 golds, Margaret Court’s 24 Grand Slams, Rafa Nadal’s 22, the 26 gold medals for Katie Ledecky, Usain Bolt’s 21 and Giacomo Agostini’s 15 Motorcycle World Championships.

Bill Russell’s 11 NBA championship rings, Stefan Everts’ 10 Motocross World Championships and Kiara Fontanesi’s 6, Tom Brady’s 7 NFL rings and the 7 Formula 1 World Championships won by Michael Schumacher and Lewis Hamilton are testaments to longevity at the top. Toni Bou’s name belongs amongst such figures.

The Repsol Honda Team rider is always looking for the next milestone, and is just as hungry for success as he was before his 32 World Championship wins.
