I’m satisfied with how it went today, and for taking the win, because it will be really valuable for the championship
Victory for Toni Bou at the Strasbourg Trial, in France, after leading again in the three phases of the round.
The Repsol Honda Team rider was able to overcome again the trouble with his arms to win in a competition that stood out for its high level of difficulty.
This is his fourth consecutive triumph in an X-Trial World Championship that has reached its mid-season and will have the fifth round next Sunday in Barcelona.
Toni Bou
“I’m very happy, really. Physically, it was a very demanding trial and with the trouble I have with my arms I didn’t train in the whole week to avoid overloading them. It was very difficult, because when you have troubles, everything is more complicated. Technically, it was a difficult round, specially the semi-final. Adam [Raga] didn’t make any mistakes and that’s why I qualified with only one point of advantage. In the last zone I tried to go out in time, but I missed for one second… I forced and it went well. I want to congratulate Miquel Gelabert for his first finale and for the podium. He did very good zones at the beginning to be able to set a difference. I’m satisfied with how it went today, and for taking the win, because it will be really valuable for the championship.”
