At the Junior World Championship, the Italian Dennis Foggia arrives in Estoril in the lead thanks to the two victories he achieved in Valencia that left him 25 points ahead of Jeremy Alcoba.

After his two wins in Valencia, Eric Granado is tied in points with Ricky Cardús in the lead of the overall Moto2 standings. They both have an advantage of 25 points over Steven Odendaal, the current European Champion.

The European Talent Cup changed its leader in Valencia. Álex Toledo achieved his first win in the championship and now leads the overall standings with a 7-point advantage over Andreas Pérez.

Estoril, which has been the scene of 13 editions of the MotoGP Portuguese Grand Prix, will make its debut at the FIM CEV Repsol, replacing the Portimao Circuit.

The European Talent Cup and the European Moto2 Championship will have two races at the Estoril circuit. The Junior World Championship will have only one.
