The FIM CEV Repsol arrives in Albacete with two titles to decide

The FIM Moto3 Junior World Championship arrives in Albacete with Jeremy Alcoba’s first chance to secure the title: he leads the overall standings with 37 points over Carlos Tatay and 40 over Xavier Artigas.

Edgar Pons aims to secure this weekend the Moto2 European Championship title for the second time in his career. The Spanish rider has an advantage of 53 points over Hector Garzó and he only needs to finish both races in the top 5 to celebrate the title.

After Izan Guevara secured the Champion title in Jerez, the main interest in the European Talent Cup (ETC) for the next two rounds will be the battle for the second place of the championship between four riders, separated by only 15 points.

The FIM CEV Repsol round at the Albacete Circuit will take place this next Sunday from 11:00h. Moto2 will have two races in that track, while Moto3 and ETC will have only one race.

The FIM CEV Repsol is a championship that allows young riders to have a first contact with high-level competition. Nevertheless, the family’s role of supporting their children in their first experiences in high-level races is always key. Xavier Artigas, one of the FIM Moto3 Junior World Championship title contenders and last season’s ETC Champion, is an example of how the environment accompanies the rider throughout the season.
